The Décologist is excited to be returning to the Retail Therary Seminar Series, as part of the Reed Gift Fair to be held in Melbourne this August. Reed Gift Fairs host Australia’s largest retail buying and sourcing event, attracting retailers, buyers, and designers from Australia and New Zealand. The seminar will provide the opportunity to connect with visitors, showcasing the incredible products and stories from our Craft Network members.

Seminar Overview

Presented by Alexandra Sommer, founder of The Décologist – an online platform and educational design hub for crafts-based social enterprises (CBSEs).

11.30am – 1.30pm, Monday 7 August, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Southbank

Consumers are increasingly aware of the impact their purchases have, whether it be it through the production, supply or lifecycle of a product, or through the distribution of profits for purpose. In this seminar we will explore ways in which your retail brand can introduce ethical and social values to support conscious consumerism. We will walk through a range of approaches detailing how to develop a robust set of values which resonate with your brand mission and are reflected in your core product range, and we will explore how you can translate these values into actions and real impact.
