Robin Seyfert is the founder of Basha Enterprises, a social enterprise working throughout Bangladesh to support women who have been victim of trafficking or are at risk of exploitation. Basha provides secure employment through crafts which is complemented by a ‘wrap-around’ programme of social support services to assist the women in rebuilding their lives with dignity.
In our conversation with Robin we learn more about how Basha provides a safe, nurturing and empowering environment for their women, allowing them to heal and transform with dignity. Robin shares with us her observations in how craft may reflect the healing process of the women, and how their craft processes have been diversified to enable wider engagement of women.
